Vigilance officials conducted a raid on the residence of Pradeep Kumar Sahu, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Athagarh District in Cuttack, today, in connection with allegations of asset misappropriation. The raid spanned eight different locations linked to Sahu.
During the search, authorities seized significant assets, including two buildings, one flat, and three plots. The buildings are located in Khurda and Rajsunakhla, Niagara, while the flat is situated in Shree Enclave, Gautam, Bhubaneswar. Additionally, Sahu’s holdings include three plots in Khurda and Rajsunakhla. These properties are currently being assessed by a professional vigilance team.
The raid also uncovered substantial financial assets: over ₹47 lakh in bank and insurance deposits, ₹6.11 lakh in cash, and 300 grams of gold jewelry. In addition, Sahu was found to possess two four-wheelers and three two-wheelers.
Notably, 300 grams of gold jewelry, one expensive diamond, and approximately 500 grams of silver jewelry were also seized. Sahu maintains a locker at the SBR head office in Bhubaneswar, which has yet to be opened by vigilance officers. As the investigation continues, further assets are expected to be uncovered.
