Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver another significant boost to Odisha on Gandhi Jayanti by laying the foundation stone for 147 km of roads in the tribal areas under the PM Janman Yojana. These roads will enhance transit facilities in various tribal regions, including Deogarh, Gajapati, Mohana, Rayagada, Baliguda, Malkangiri, Gunupur, and Sundergarh.
In addition to the road projects, the Prime Minister will initiate several community-focused initiatives in these tribal areas.
Tomorrow, from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, the Prime Minister will unveil a project worth ₹83,300 crore, aimed at benefiting various states across the country. He will also launch the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Village Excellence Campaign, designed to promote tribal development.
This campaign will target the development of 5 crore tribals living in 63,000 villages across 549 districts and 2,740 blocks nationwide. The initiative aims to usher in a new era of education, health, and social empowerment for tribal communities, improving their overall quality of life. Twenty-five ministries of the central government will collaborate on this effort.
