In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested a PSC soldier for killing his brother-in-law, who was a model in Gurugram. The accused, Tanuj Kumar, allegedly murdered Vivek Kumar to seize his property and then tried to hide the crime by pretending to grieve.
Tanuj Kumar, who worked as a driver for the DIG of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), lived in a well-known colony in Meerut. Vivek, his brother-in-law, also lived with him. A few days ago, Vivek went missing, and his body was later found near a drain in the Pallavapuram area. This discovery shocked the family.
Initially, Tanuj urged the police to solve the case. However, as the investigation progressed, evidence pointed to Tanuj as the murderer. During a press conference, Meerut police confirmed Tanuj’s arrest. They revealed that he killed Vivek to take control of his land, which was worth a significant amount of money.
Police reports state that Vivek had sold some of his land and planned to sell the rest. Tanuj opposed this decision. When Vivek refused to change his mind, Tanuj planned the murder. He invited Vivek for a drink, and after a dispute, took him to the drain and shot him. Vivek died at the scene.
After the murder, Tanuj pretended to mourn alongside his family, trying to keep his crime hidden. However, the police collected enough evidence to arrest him. Tanuj has been sent to jail, and the case continues to unfold.
