A log fell onto a railway track in Uttar Pradesh, causing a passenger train to come to a halt after hitting a wooden girder. Fortunately, the quick action of the loco pilot averted a potential disaster.
Train No. 14236 was travelling from Delhi to Lucknow when it struck the wooden obstruction. The loco pilot immediately stopped the train and alerted the station master. Security guards quickly arrived at the scene and discovered that someone had intentionally placed a wooden girder on the tracks, measuring about two feet.
The timely intervention of the loco pilot prevented what could have been a serious accident. Authorities suspect that this act was deliberate, as similar incidents have occurred in the past.
Malihabad police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. These occurrences continue to raise concerns among railway staff and passengers alike.
