The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently received a threatening call, sparking panic. A person contacted the RBI’s customer care in Mumbai, claiming to be from the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Toiba. The call, which came in at 10 a.m. on Saturday, included a bizarre threat, stating that an electric car had broken down behind the bank, causing disruption.
The RBI officer immediately alerted the police, leading to the registration of a case at Mumbai’s Ramabai Police Station. Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the caller, though they suspect the call was a prank meant to cause unnecessary panic.
Earlier in the week, a similar threat emerged. On Wednesday afternoon, the CSF control room at Mumbai’s Domestic Airport (T1) received a call claiming explosives were being transported from Mumbai to Azerbaijan. Airport authorities and police forces swiftly responded, deploying teams to investigate the situation.
