Disaster Management Minister Santosh Kumar Suman claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to stay with the NDA has dealt a heavy blow to Lalu Prasad’s family and party.
He said the RJD’s plan to regain power with Nitish Kumar’s support in the 2025 elections has fallen apart. Suman reminded that Bihar’s people rejected RJD two decades ago, and now even party workers and MLAs outside the M-Y equation are losing interest.
He urged RJD and Congress to focus on retaining their MLAs rather than attacking Nitish Kumar.
In response, RJD accused Nitish Kumar of failing to advance the state’s development. The party criticized him for not establishing industries, instead allowing manipulation of transfer and posting systems. RJD’s chief spokesperson, Shakti Singh Yadav, alleged that Nitish Kumar’s close aides are securing favorable transfers. He also accused the government of removing honest officials who resist its policies.
Yadav claimed that Nitish Kumar faces intense pressure from the BJP and has to explain himself even to junior officials. He argued that Nitish Kumar’s inner circle has trapped him in a difficult situation.
