Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida announced that Rs 1 will be credited to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries today. This trial payment marks the beginning of the second phase of the scheme, with full disbursement expected on October 9.
The Subhadra Yojana, launched on September 17 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to support women by providing Rs 10,000 each in two installments annually, totaling Rs 50,000 over five years. To date, 25 lakh women have already received financial assistance in the first phase.
Prabhati Parida stated that 32 lakh MPCI clearances have been completed under the scheme, and by this evening, additional funds will be deposited for those eligible in the second phase. Over 40 lakh women are anticipated to benefit from the upcoming disbursement.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that applications from more than 1 crore women are expected to be processed under the Subhadra scheme, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering women in the state.
