Srimandi Chief Administrator Arvind Padhi has asked the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to inspect and repair the temple’s gem structure. In his letter, Padhi requested the use of advanced technologies like laser scanning and Ground Penetrating Radar System (GPRS). He also suggested involving experts from top institutes like IIT and CBRI.
Padhi promised full cooperation from the temple administration during the repair work. To ensure that the inspection follows established rules, the Chhattisgarh Recruitment and Management Committee will create a policy guide. All activities will adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) previously set for such inspections.

The temple administration has also finished moving empty chests and cupboards from the temple’s treasury. Since an iron box could not fit through the door, the outer treasury’s wooden door was cut to remove it. Afterward, the door was repaired, and the chests and cupboards were placed in secure rooms. With the inner and outer gems now empty, Padhi stressed the need to start repairs quickly in his letter to the ASI DG.
