A tragic accident occurred at the Cuttack Bali Yatra, claiming the life of a minor. Vishwa Prakash Manthan, a resident of Jagatsinghpur, lost his life due to electrocution. The young boy, a student of +2 fast year at Children’s Temple in Tulsipur, Cuttack, had come to witness the procession.
While exploring the fair, Vishwa touched a light fixture near the riverbank, accidentally coming into contact with live electric wires. Bystanders immediately rushed him to the hospital in critical condition, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Authorities are investigating how Vishwa managed to leave the hostel unnoticed and whether safety lapses at the Bali Yatra contributed to this tragedy. The incident has raised serious concerns about electrical safety at the event.
