A tragic incident has emerged from the Kannada film industry. Popular actor and director Gurprasad passed away, with police reporting that they discovered his body hanging from a fan in a house on the outskirts of the city. Preliminary investigations suggest that he may have committed suicide.
The incident occurred in the Madanaknahalli police station area. Bengaluru Rural SP CK Baba stated that Gurprasad had been struggling with personal issues, including concerns related to his films and financial pressures. Neighbours last saw him about five to six days ago, after which he did not leave the house, raising suspicions about the timing of his death.
Neighbours alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from the house. Upon arrival, the police forced entry and found the body hanging from a fan. The authorities have sent the body for a postmortem and opened a case to investigate further. Gurprasad gained fame for his work in several superhero films, including “Mata” and “Yedelu Manjunath,” and he also received the State Film Award for Best Director.
