The United States conducted an airstrike in Syria, killing 37 terrorists designated by groups affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) and al-Qaeda, including two senior figures. On September 16, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that their large-scale strike resulted in at least 28 fatalities, with four being senior Syrian leaders.
The statement did not disclose the identities of those killed. Previously, CENTCOM targeted senior terrorists from the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hurras al-Din group in a bombing in northwestern Syria, resulting in the deaths of eight additional individuals.
