Rain will lash the state starting tomorrow due to the influence of the western cyclone, meteorologist Umashkar Dash announced on social media platform X.
“There will be rain in the state on 28th and 29th under the effect of the western monsoon. Light to moderate showers are likely in some districts, especially in North and North West Odisha,” Mr. Dash tweeted.
Heavy rain caused by low pressure recently submerged vast farmlands across the state, destroying the farmers’ annual harvest within two days. With the forecast of more rainfall, farmers are now deeply concerned about further losses.
