A shocking incident occurred in Bagalkot, Karnataka when a hair dryer exploded while a woman, Basamma Yaranal, was drying her hair. The explosion seriously injured her and caused severe damage, tearing off her hands. Basamma is the wife of a former army soldier and is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
The hair dryer, which had been delivered just days earlier, was sent via DTDC courier. The parcel was addressed to Sasikala, whose name and contact details were on the package. Sasikala was away when the courier arrived, and she asked Basamma to receive the parcel and inspect it. As Basamma was checking the item, it exploded.
The police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident. Preliminary findings reveal that the hair dryer was manufactured in Visakhapatnam and shipped from Bagalkot. Authorities remain suspicious about the individuals who sent the parcel and are continuing to explore all angles of the case.
