The Vigilance Department conducted a raid today at the residence of Vinay Bhushan Tripathi, the Additional Commissioner of CT&GST Enforcement in Jajpur. The raid is part of an investigation into allegations of government tax evasion linked to leaked information, involving a diversion of approximately ₹5.85 lakh in revenue.
Tripathi faces accusations of illegally selling seized scrap from a dealer. The Vigilance Division from Cuttack simultaneously raided five locations, including Bhubaneswar and Khurda. These raids targeted Tripathi’s quarters in Bhubaneswar’s Unit 2 and his father’s house in Khurda.
During the operation, authorities seized various documents and important papers related to several companies. The raids are part of ongoing efforts to address corruption and ensure accountability within the GST enforcement system.
