Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Champai Soren, known as the Kolhan Tiger, arrived in Delhi on Sunday after traveling from Kolkata. Soren’s arrival, along with several MLAs from the Kolhan division, has generated significant buzz in Jharkhand politics ahead of the 2024 Assembly elections.
Soren and his entourage drove from Jharkhand to Kolkata on Saturday night and stayed there before flying to Delhi on August 18. The exact number of JMM MLAs accompanying him remains unconfirmed.

Earlier, Soren addressed speculation about a potential political shift. He denied any knowledge of rumors suggesting he might change parties or join the BJP. When questioned about Lobin Hembram’s statement that he might join the BJP, Soren responded, “I don’t know what is true and what is false. We are where we are right now.”
This unexpected move by Soren and his MLAs has intensified speculation and anticipation as Jharkhand approaches its upcoming Assembly elections.
