Elephants are leaving the forest and causing chaos in villages. In Dholpur village, Balasore district, a herd of elephants destroyed homes and crops. Villagers detained 10 forest officials, including a woman forest guard, who came to drive the elephants away. The villagers demand compensation, accusing the forest department of not taking effective action.
