Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urged party workers to view public service in politics as a lifelong commitment. Speaking at a development meeting in Sambalpur, Pradhan announced himself as “Gunduchi Musha”, where he will outline a blueprint for Odisha’s development, including Sambalpur.
Pradhan attended development meetings organized by the Senior Citizens’ Association in Anugul Kishorenagar and the ‘Vikshit Bhajani Manch, Redhakhol’ in Sambalpur. He expressed gratitude to the Sambalpur constituency for their support during his election campaign, which led to his election as MP from Sambalpur Lok Sabha.
During his speech, Pradhan highlighted the government’s focus on improving the lives of the poor, women, farmers, youth, and tribals. He detailed the implementation of the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to enhance the financial stability of mothers and sisters by providing significant financial support. Additionally, he mentioned the government’s commitment to purchasing paddy from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal.
Pradhan praised the open meetings with senior citizens, lawyers’ associations, farmers’ organizations, and social service groups, describing them as highly valuable. He called for collective efforts to strengthen the local economy in Ashtumalli and connect it with modern advancements.
In Redhakhol, a region associated with the poet Bhim Bhoi, known for his contributions to Mahaya Dharma, Pradhan spoke of the region’s historical and cultural significance. He committed to addressing the aspirations of Sambalpur’s residents, aligning with the 100th anniversary of Odisha’s formation as a separate province in 1936 and India’s independence in 2047.
