Today, Srijiu will celebrate the Bhadrakrishna 10th Tithi in Banbhoji attire, featuring rituals dedicated to the slaying of Bakasur and Arghasur. The festivities will begin with Srijiu’s traditional forest dressing. Two Ramakrishna idols will be placed on a wooden throne next to the Badachta Mutt near the Lion Door.
After midday, worshippers will offer garlands to the idols. A Lenka servant, dressed as a corpse, will perform a ritual with guacoli and coconut in a bamboo.
Later, the Pujapanda will offer cold water and the inner clear Mahapatra to the Lord. In the evening, choirs will wear Banbhoji attire. During Srijeom’s srivuj, Rupa Pingan will hold a head in one hand and a nudi in the other. The Thakurs will be adorned with 18 types of gold ornaments in their Banbhoji attire.
