National Women’s Congress President Alka Lamba and ten Congress workers are now facing legal action after a woman filed a case against them at Tisa Police Station. The woman, who earlier accused Churah MLA Hansraj of misconduct, claims that Lamba and others are defaming her.
She alleges that Alka Lamba, along with Narendra Kumar, Yashwant Khanna, Dildar Alli, Sharif Mohammed, Yakub, Jamaat Alli, Ishraj, and Vir Singh, spread false information about her. This, she says, has damaged her reputation and caused her mental distress.
The woman initially filed a case against MLA Hansraj, which she later clarified was based on a misunderstanding. However, she claims that the Congress leaders are now using the incident for political purposes and trying to give it a religious angle.
Chamba SP Abhishek Jacob confirmed that the woman and her father lodged the complaint. The police are now investigating the case based on her allegations.
