The Odisha Vigilance Department conducted simultaneous raids today at four locations linked to Deputy Director of Mines, Dharinidar Naik, following allegations of asset misappropriation. The raids targeted Naik’s residence in Talcher, his father’s house in Pramananda village under Telkoi police station, his father-in-law’s residence in Pandapada, and another property in Keonjhar.
The Vigilance Department acted on accusations that Naik had amassed wealth through illicit means, allegedly accepting bribes and offering undue favors to local mafia involved in illegal mining activities. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities scrutinizing the extent of Naik’s involvement in corrupt practices.
