Prayagraj Police Uncover Fake Currency Racket in Madrasa Raid

On the 28th, the police in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, raided a madrasa after receiving credible information about suspicious activities. The raid shocked everyone, as police uncovered that counterfeit notes worth crores of rupees were being produced within the madrasa. They also found that books promoting anti-RSS propaganda were being printed there.

The investigation linked the counterfeit currency operation and the anti-RSS propaganda to Zaheer Khan, a resident of Bhadrak, Odisha. Police identified him as the mastermind behind the entire scam. Zaheer Khan had joined the madrasa around four years ago, initially posing as a student. However, police discovered that he was using the madrasa’s printer and scanner to produce fake currency.

During the raid, police seized 1,300 fake notes of one denomination and 100 of another. They arrested four individuals, including the madrasa’s principal, who also has a residence in Odisha. The Uttar Pradesh Police are planning to visit Odisha to further investigate the connection. While the case is gaining attention in the national media, the Odisha Police have yet to respond. As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge.
