A fire broke out this morning at Prayagraj railway station in Uttar Pradesh, damaging a foot overbridge and causing panic among passengers. The blaze started in the power cabin box on bridge number two.
Railway officials and the fire brigade quickly responded. They controlled the fire within about 10 minutes before the fire brigade arrived. No injuries were reported.
Officials traced the fire to a short circuit in the cable tray. The blaze caused a temporary power cut at the station. Prompt actions helped prevent the fire from causing more damage.
