Security forces have launched a massive search operation in Adigam village, Devasar area, Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, today, targeting two terrorists reported to be hiding there.
Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and joint teams are conducting the search operation, which began this morning. As security personnel actively searched village homes, terrorists suddenly initiated firing, injuring three jawans and one police officer.
The security forces swiftly responded, evacuating villagers to safety and sealing the village. The joint team is meticulously searching every house to neutralize the terrorist threat.
Currently, an intense exchange of fire continues between the security team and terrorists. The army assures that the hiding terrorists will soon be apprehended, concluding the operation.
Terrorist groups are attempting repeated attacks to disrupt upcoming Jammu and Kashmir elections. Recently, police successfully seized a large cache of arms and ammunition in Pulwama district, arresting six terrorists. This encounter follows a previous security-terrorist clash in Kulgam last May.
