The woman felt a mix of hope and fear as she awaited the second phase of ‘Subhadra’ money. Today, that uncertainty ended. Deputy Chief Minister Parida announced that beneficiaries will receive the second phase of ‘Subhadra’ money on October 9.
Parida stated that the second installment will be distributed to beneficiaries in a meeting led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Baripada. Women who applied by September 7 will receive their funds on that date. The Chief Minister will also announce an increase in the number of beneficiaries to 1 crore under the Subhadra Yojana.
More than 40 lakh women will benefit from the second phase. Currently, 97 lakh women have applied for ‘Subhadra’ assistance. In the first phase, 25 lakh 11 thousand women received funds. The Chief Minister assured that all eligible women will receive their ‘Subhadra’ money before March 8.
It’s important to note that the Subhadra Yojana launched on the 17th was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event in Bhubaneswar. The government plans to provide ₹10,000 to 1 crore eligible women in two installments each year, totaling ₹50,000 over five years. In the first phase, 25 lakh women successfully received their ‘Subhadra’ funds.
