The Health Department is actively establishing Tele ICUs in five districts of the state, following the approval of the plan three months ago. The initiative targets border districts: East Champaran, Supaul, Banka, Buxar, and Nawada, in collaboration with a national agency.
Each Tele ICU will feature at least 10 beds equipped with advanced life-saving technology, ensuring timely and effective care for critically ill patients.
Initially, this will operate as a pilot project, with plans for future expansion to other districts. PG anesthesia doctors, who have graduated from state medical colleges, will oversee the Tele ICUs, supported by medical officers stationed in these facilities.
The government is currently considering Medanta Super Specialty Hospital in Patna for the monitoring of these Tele ICUs across the five districts.
