Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has leveled serious allegations against the Ladli Behna Yojana, claiming that the sisters of Madhya Pradesh are no longer receiving funds from the scheme. In response, CM Mohan Yadav addressed Raut’s claims.
Speaking to ANI, CM Mohan Yadav stated, “Sanjay Raut should visit Madhya Pradesh and see for himself. Since the launch of the Ladli Behna Yojana, we have consistently deposited funds into the accounts of 1.29 crore sisters every month.”
CM Mohan Yadav added, “Uddhav Thackeray’s party aims to mislead the sisters out of fear of losing the Maharashtra elections. The sisters will respond in this election. This scheme will undoubtedly serve as an unprecedented step toward women’s empowerment in Maharashtra.”
Yadav urged voters, “I encourage all my voters not to fall for such false conspiracies. The funds for women’s empowerment are something we cannot even consider stopping. We hope this scheme will improve the lives of our sisters.”
In contrast, Sanjay Raut claimed, “The Ladli Behna scheme has failed nationwide; it is merely a political ploy.” He asserted that the scheme has led to economic collapse, stating, “The Ladli Behna scheme will shut down next month.”
Raut also questioned the financial feasibility of the initiatives announced by the Prime Minister, asking, “Where will the money come from?”
The then Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched the Ladli Behna Yojana on March 5, 2023. By June 2023, the scheme began providing Rs. 1,000 per month to eligible sisters, which was later increased to Rs. 1,250.
