The grain collection will start on November 20 in Bargarh, followed by Sambalpur and all other districts on November 22. To ensure a smooth process, the authorities will distribute tokens to farmers starting November 15, and the collection of paddy will continue until December 7.
Farmers will receive a minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 2300 per quintal for paddy. On December 8, the government will transfer an additional Rs 800 per quintal directly to farmers’ bank accounts through DBT within 48 hours, as informed by the Chief Minister’s office.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend a state-level farmers’ meeting on December 8 at Bargarh Sohela, where he will announce the additional Rs 800 per quintal.
District authorities may extend the token deadline by 7 days, and they will conduct patrolling in border areas to prevent the entry of grain from outside the state.
