Ahmadi was wearing a black off-shoulder dress at the time but no hijab on her head. A day later, on Thursday itself, the court took up a case regarding Ahmadi’s concert performance. Four male singers were also present along with Ahmadi in this event.
Iran has strict rules regarding hijab. In fact, under a law enacted after the Islamic Revolution in 1979, women in Iran are required to shave their hair in public. They are not even allowed to sing in public.
