Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Mandeep Singh Brar suffered fatal gunshot wounds in Punjab, with a leader from the Shiromani Akali Party accused of the attack. Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting occurred during a heated argument between leaders of the two parties.
The incident took place in the Fazilka area of Punjab, where a confrontation erupted between AAP leader Brar and Akali Dal leader Bharadev Singh. During the altercation, Bharadev Singh allegedly fired at Mandeep Singh.
Jalalabad AAP MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldi reported the incident, prompting the police to arrive at the scene and begin their investigation.
Mandeep Singh remains in critical condition following the shooting. Initially, he received treatment at a government hospital in Jalalabad, but as his condition worsened, medical staff transferred him to the District Hospital of Louisiana for further care.
