The Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) announced its third-phase list of candidates for the assembly elections, naming four candidates today.
With this latest release, NCP has now confirmed 49 candidates. In today’s list, Vijay Singh Pandit secured the ticket from Gevrai, Sain Sudhakar Patil from Falton, Dilip Banker from Niphad, and Kashinath Dete from Parner.
NCP state president Sunil Tatker made this announcement today. The party had released its first and second lists on October 23 and 25, respectively.
Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar will contest from Baramati, facing a tough challenge from his nephew, Yugendra, who is running on a Sharad Pawar-led NCP ticket from the same constituency.
Maharashtra’s 288 constituencies will hold elections on the 20th, with vote counting and results set for the 23rd.
