Security forces eliminated two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district during an anti-terror operation in the Kachwan area. Acting on a tip-off about terrorist hideouts in the forested area, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, and CRPF launched a joint operation.
As the security team advanced toward the suspected location, terrorists began firing indiscriminately. Security forces retaliated strongly, triggering a fierce encounter. According to a senior security official, the operation is still underway in the Shangas Larnu forest, with two terrorists neutralized so far.
The Army reported that one of the killed terrorists had murdered Territorial Army soldier Hilal Ahmed from Shangas.In the last 12 hours, three terror-related incidents have occurred in the area, leading to heightened security arrangements.
