The Army has achieved significant success in Jammu and Kashmir. On Saturday, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, alongside the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), killed the top commander of the Pakistani terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) during a day-long operation in the Khanyar area of Srinagar. Additionally, two more terrorists died in the encounter.
The forces executed the operation against Usman, the commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, with great care. They utilized biscuits to keep the dogs calm and prevent them from interfering with the operation.
The operation lasted for nine hours. The soldiers fed the dogs biscuits to keep them quiet, knowing they might bark upon seeing the troops. While the dogs ate, the soldiers raided around 30 houses, ultimately succeeding in eliminating the terrorists.
Usman was a notorious figure, active in Jammu and Kashmir since 2000. He had extensive knowledge of the valley and participated in several terrorist activities in the region. After spending some time in Pakistan, he re-entered Jammu and Kashmir in 2016-17 and was involved in the shooting death of police sub-inspector Masroor Wani last year.
