After initially inspecting the temple’s gems, the ASI team is conducting another technical survey today to uncover hidden secrets within the gems. They are using Ground Penetrating Radar Surveys separately. Public viewing remains closed for three days during this process.
The Puri District Collector said they will proceed with repairs and calculations once the report is submitted. The survey will last three days. With Doshar Soho Puja and the Kartik month rituals starting on the 24th, special procedures for Srijiu will continue. The chief administrator of Srimandi has requested the report be submitted promptly after completing the remaining professional survey.
Thus, officials decided to start the survey today. The team is monitoring the work according to the State Government’s SOP. The administration confirmed that public viewing will remain closed for three days during the inspection.
On the 18th, ASI already conducted a technical survey of the gems. A 17-member team, led by ASI ADG Janvij Sharma, performed laser scanning and inspections.
