Security forces have locked down Bhubaneswar as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in the city. Policemen guard key routes from Gadkan village, Janata Maidan, and the airport to Kalinga Hospital.
Authorities have declared a no-fly zone from the airport to Janata Maidan and Gadkan. Barricades line the route of the PM’s motorcade, with 81 platoons of police ensuring protection. The security team includes 11 DCPs, 22 additional DCPs, 66 ACPs, 100 IICs, and 300 senior officers. Women police personnel and plainclothes officers also bolster the force.
Commissionerate Police have issued a traffic advisory, restricting vehicle movement on Jaydev Bihar-Nalco Road from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The advisory bans vehicles from plying between Jaydev Bihar Street and Nalco Street and adjacent roads.
Drivers heading to Jaydev Bihar from Nandankanan can detour via Damna Street, Acharya Vihar, Guru Kelucharan Park, and Salal School Road. Alternatively, they can follow the Shikharchandi-Pathagadia-DN School-Kalinga Studio-Fire Station Street route. Emergency services, including ambulances, are exempt from these restrictions.
