BJP and Congress Engage in Heated Exchange Over Rahul Gandhi’s Criticisms

A ‘letter-to-letter war’ has erupted between the Congress and BJP. Congress President and Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Khadge wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, prompting a response from BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda. Nadda used his letter to criticize Rahul Gandhi as a ‘field product.’

Nadda wrote, “Mallikarjun Khadgeji, after reading your letter to Prime Minister Modi, it seems you attempt to polish your field products and market them due to political pressure. Your letter overlooks or deliberately ignores the mistakes of your leaders, including Rahul Gandhi. I felt it necessary to address these issues in detail.”

He questioned Khadge’s focus on Rahul Gandhi, who has a history of criticizing the entire OBC community and using vulgar language against the Prime Minister. Nadda highlighted how Rahul Gandhi has insulted the Prime Minister 11 times in the last decade. He lamented that the Congress party, once prestigious, has now become a ‘copy-paste’ party under pressure from its ‘popular prince.’

In response, Mallikarjun Khadge wrote a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Modi on his birthday, urging legal action against ruling party leaders who made controversial remarks about Rahul Gandhi. Khadge expressed concern over Union Minister’s label of Rahul Gandhi as the ‘number one terrorist,’ a term he felt was offensive and dangerous.

Khadge urged Prime Minister Modi to discipline his party members and enforce strict legal actions to prevent such statements, aiming to preserve the integrity of Indian politics.
