By-Election Talks Heat Up as Pranab Prakash Das Affirms Commitment to Service

After Pranab Prakash Das, often referred to as the second power center, made his statement, rumors about Sujata Sahu’s resignation and a potential by-election surfaced. However, Sujata Sahu has dismissed these discussions, attributing the blame to the media. “I won’t comment on my leader,” she stated, emphasizing that the media is the source of speculation regarding her resignation and the by-election.

In a media briefing, BJM MLA Sujata Sahu addressed whether she plans to resign, asserting that Prakash Das will not contest the by-election because he is not power-hungry. “When the media began discussing the by-election, I approached him,” she explained. “He asked, ‘Do I need to be an MLA?’ I am not power-hungry,” Sujata clarified.

Moreover, Sujata insisted that the talk of her resignation and a by-election exists only in the media, asserting, “Is everything being discussed in the media true? The person who gave me the ticket and helped me reach this position has yet to respond. I haven’t said anything to him, and my leader hasn’t commented on the by-election either. Therefore, all this speculation is false.”

In addition, she continued, “I have always respected mothers. The former Chief Minister granted me the ticket as part of Mission Shakti Maaiya and gave me the opportunity to fight. I am focusing on my studies, with the support of former MLA Pranab Prakash Das. Everyone knows that I am not power-hungry.”

Consequently, the question arises: why would there be by-elections? To find the answer, one must look at the march organized in Dasrathpur on Wednesday, where Pranab Prakash Das participated. After addressing the employees, he indicated his willingness to contest elections again.

Furthermore, he added, “The strength of mothers and the blessings of my brother and Naveen Patnaik inspire me. Development has occurred, and my only goal is to continue this progress. Some leaders used to claim there was no medical college in Jajpur. I will not dismiss their concerns because the BJP does not want development in Punjab. Ultimately, the judgment is yours; I have no desire for power.” Following his remarks, discussions about the by-election gained traction.
