In a police encounter in Bijapur district, located along the Malkangiri border of Chhattisgarh, security forces killed two Naxals. The forces also seized a significant amount of Naxal-related material from the scene.
Following intelligence reports, the police learned that Naxals were camping in the Ussur-Basaguda-Pamed area of Bijapur district. A joint operation was launched by the DRG, STF, COBRA, and CRPF battalions. Upon encountering the Naxals, the insurgents fired at the security forces, who responded with retaliatory fire.
In the exchange, two Naxals were killed, while others managed to flee the scene. The police confirmed that the identities of the deceased Naxals have not yet been determined.
