In a media briefing today, the Chief Minister stated, “We have achieved extraordinary success by working tirelessly towards our goal of zero casualties.”
Competent officials promptly deployed to the affected areas, along with ministers who actively participated on-site, ensured that no untoward incidents occurred. The administration will assess the damage soon and outline the next steps. Thanks to the coordination among various departments, we managed the storm more effectively. This morning, residents returned home from storm shelters.
While strong winds caused some uprooted trees and blocked roads, teams are working diligently to clear the roads by 1 PM. Although power supply has been interrupted in certain areas, officials expect normal electricity restoration throughout the state by this evening. Additionally, 6,000 pregnant women were evacuated, and the Chief Minister reported that 1,600 children were born in the cyclone shelters.
