The Congress party’s top leaders revealed their manifesto for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, placing significant emphasis on what they describe as the five ‘pillars of justice’. Led by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, the manifesto launch event will feature former party presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
After the manifesto’s release, Kharge and the Gandhis are slated to speak at public rallies in Jaipur and Hyderabad, where they will delve into the key components of the manifesto, emphasizing its core principles.
Termed as ‘Paanch Nyay’ or the five pillars of justice, the manifesto will prioritize ‘Yuva Nyay’, ‘Naari Nyay’, ‘Kisaan Nyay’, ‘Shramik Nyay’, and ‘Hissedari Nyay’, alongside the party’s commitments to the electorate.
A notable inclusion in the manifesto is the promise to grant the youth the ‘right to employment’ as part of the party’s electoral strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while also proposing stringent measures to combat paper leaks in examinations.
Furthermore, the manifesto is anticipated to advocate for strict legal measures and penalties against individuals involved in paper leaks, as well as for transparent government recruitment procedures. It will also push for legal assurances regarding minimum support prices and a caste-based census in the country.
