The controversy over Tirupati Temple’s laddu prasad escalates as allegations claim the prasad contains animal fat and fish oil. This has prompted BJP leader and Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje to demand a CBI investigation into the matter.
Karandlaje urged the Andhra Pradesh government to take swift and impartial action. Posting on social media, she called for the state to create a special team and hand over the investigation to the CBI. “This attack on Hindu faith will not be tolerated,” she stated.
She also pressed for a detailed inquiry into the suppliers of ghee used for the laddu over the past four years. Karandlaje questioned who secured the contracts and where the oil was sourced from.
Calling for transparency, she declared, “The truth must come out, and secrecy must end.” Her strong demand for action has stirred political and religious discussions.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi shared his concern, saying, “This issue affects the faith of millions of Hindus. We must keep politics out of this and focus on uncovering the truth. If the lab reports confirm the allegations, authorities must punish the guilty without delay.”
