Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time today. The swearing-in ceremony will be held in the evening at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. Central Observer Vijay Rupani informed that two Deputy Chief Ministers will take oath with him.
Rumor has it that Shiv Sena leader Eknath Sinde may take oath as Deputy Chief Minister today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the swearing-in ceremony. Fadnavis has been elected as the leader of the BJP MLA party.
The Maharashtra BJP MLA team met in Mumbai in the presence of two central observers Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani. Fadnavis has been unanimously elected as the leader there. Also, the 12-day-long CM suspension has come to an end.
On the other hand, yesterday afternoon, the leader of Mahayuti met Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Sinde, Ajit Pawar jointly met the governor and presented the demand for government formation.
