External Affairs Minister Jaishankar Highlights Consequences of Pakistan’s Terrorism

During the 79th UN General Assembly meeting in New York, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar issued a stern warning to Pakistan. After Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif raised the Kashmir issue, Jaishankar responded, saying, “We have heard some strange statements here.” He made India’s position clear: Pakistan’s cross-border terrorism will never succeed, and it can never hope for forgiveness. Instead, those who engage in such activities must face the consequences.

Jaishankar stated that the only issue left to resolve is for Pakistan to vacate parts of India that it illegally occupies and to respond strongly to its promotion of terrorism. He pointed out that while some countries struggle, others deliberately choose a destructive path, leading to devastating consequences. He cited Pakistan as a prime example.

He expressed concern that Pakistan’s actions not only harm itself but also negatively impact neighboring countries. Jaishankar noted that Pakistan’s GDP relies on the export of extremism and terrorism. He concluded by highlighting that Pakistan, which has engaged in malicious activities, is now suffering the repercussions of its actions.
