A fatal road accident unfolded this morning on Dumuripadar Road under Lakshmipur police station in Koraput district, NH 326. A private bus named ‘MSSB,’ traveling from Jaipur to Rayagada, collided head-on with a timber truck, injuring several passengers.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and deployed two to three ambulances to transport the injured to nearby hospitals. Rescue teams are currently working to free passengers feared trapped beneath the bus, while firefighters attempt to extricate the driver stuck in the wrecked truck. Police are on-site managing the situation, and initial estimates suggest the bus carried between 60 to 70 passengers.
