Today is the third and final phase of voting in Jammu and Kashmir. Voting has started for 40 seats. People are standing in line and voting since 7 am. There are 449 candidates in the field.
Voting is going on today in Kupwada, Sopore, Barmulla, Gulmarg, Bandipora, Udhampur West, Udhampur East, Khadua seats. Voting will be held in 24 seats of Jammu region and 16 seats of Kashmir.
A total of 12 lakh voters will vote in 1 thousand 484 polling stations. In the first phase, 59 percent voting took place, while in the second phase, 57.03 percent voting took place.
In the third and final phase, there is a three-way contest between the National Conference-Congress alliance, the BJP and the PDP in most places.
