In Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, Anita, a resident of Purva in Kotwali village, faced a horrifying ordeal on Holy Guardian Purnima. The incident occurred when Anita insisted on visiting her father’s house to tie a rakshi on her brother’s wrist, a tradition she eagerly anticipates each year. Her husband, Rahul, vehemently opposed the visit.
The disagreement between Anita and Rahul escalated, culminating in Rahul attacking her with a sharp weapon. In a brutal act, he severed Anita’s nose. Anita suffered severe bleeding and deteriorated rapidly, prompting Rahul’s younger brother to rush her to a medical college in critical condition. Doctors provided initial treatment and then referred her to the Lucknow Trauma Center, where her condition is now stable.Police reported that Anita has not yet filed a formal complaint, but they indicated that action will be taken against Rahul once a complaint is lodged.
