Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader in the Rajya Sabha, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for criticizing the Congress and National Conference parties. Modi and Shah falsely claimed that these parties align with Pakistan’s interests in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kharge vehemently denied these allegations, affirming that Congress prioritizes the welfare and development of Jammu and Kashmir’s people, unrelated to Pakistan. He also lambasted Modi for his 2015 Pakistan visit, where he shared a meal with then-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Kharge challenged the BJP, saying, “You’ve held power for 10 years and appointed your governor. Why haven’t you fulfilled your promises?” He accused the BJP of lying to divert attention from their unfulfilled commitments.
