Mohan Government Faces Criticism for Repeating Old Plans, Says BJD

The BJD and BJP conflict and their talks have completely broken down. The BJD accuses the Mohan government of attempting to reverse the decisions made by the previous government.

The BJD asserts that the current government’s actions simply replicate the policies of the past. Recently, Deputy Chief Minister Phamagi Parida announced an additional 10 days of leave for women during menstruation. However, the BJD government had already implemented this policy. Similarly, the Mohan government has promised to pay 300 thousand rupees per month to the winner, whereas the previous government had set the payment at 25 thousand rupees per month. Party spokesperson Lenin Mohanty criticized the government for merely copying these measures.

Lenin Mohanty stated that the Mohan government has completed nearly five months in office but has introduced no new initiatives. Instead, it has repeated old policies. He accused the government of neglecting the people’s needs and said the administration has failed in every sector, with law and order deteriorating. The government has not taken any further actions to address these issues.

Additionally, Akshayashree raised several concerns targeting the BJP and Minister Suresh Pujari. “The BJP has made it a habit of blaming former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for every issue in the state,” he said. The BJP also criticized Minister Suresh Pujari, accusing him of interfering in other departments without understanding his own.
