Mumbai Police expanded their operations, which ultimately led to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in the United States. Anmol is allegedly the key figure behind several criminal incidents, including the shooting at the house of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui and actor Salman Khan.
According to sources, Anmol Bishnoi was arrested by the immigration department in California. However, it was the Mumbai Police that played a critical role in his capture. Initially, officials tracked Anmol’s movements and subsequently requested US authorities to monitor his location. After a week of surveillance, they confirmed his identity, which led to his arrest in California.
Following the arrest, Indian agencies quickly initiated efforts to extradite Anmol Bishnoi. Discussions about his extradition have already taken place between FBI officials and Indian security agencies. However, the US State Department has refrained from commenting on the matter. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the case falls under the jurisdiction of the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Nevertheless, reliable sources have indicated that the US might hand over Anmol’s custody to Canada.
In addition, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch has already begun the process to extradite Anmol Bishnoi. On October 25, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to his arrest. Notably, Anmol faces charges in two cases filed against him in 2022, including his involvement in the Sidhu Musewala murder case and the attack on Salman Khan’s residence.
Moreover, Anmol Bishnoi is connected to numerous criminal activities. Despite residing in the US, he continues to direct the Bishnoi gang, which has a widespread network across the US and Canada. Anmol was responsible for recruiting shooters in India, providing them with weapons, and giving them detailed instructions for carrying out violent operations.
