Fisheries Minister Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of instigating a 2015 rail movement incident in Gorakhpur. He claimed, “Akhilesh Yadav ordered the shooting of my brother during the rail protest. Later, authorities falsely accused me in the case.” Dr. Nishad praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government for its public interest decisions and its strict zero-tolerance policies.
While reviewing development programs at the Collectorate auditorium, Dr. Nishad urged officials to deliver the full benefits of Central and State Government schemes to fishermen without delays or negligence.
He directly reviewed the progress of several key schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Mass Accident Insurance Scheme, Kisan Credit Card, Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana, Nishad Raj Boat Scheme, and Fisherman Welfare initiatives. Later, he met with Nishad Party workers and fishermen at the District Panchayat auditorium to discuss these programs and the party’s organizational strategies.
Earlier, Chief Development Officer Ankur Kaushik welcomed Dr. Nishad with a bouquet and a memento made of Munj. The event featured BJP District President Dr. RA Verma, Additional District Magistrate Gaurav Shukla, MLA Sadar Raj Prasad Upadhyay, Chief Medical Officer OP Chaudhary, Apna Dal District President Avinash Patel, Nishad Party District President Rajesh Nishad, and key officials such as Project Director Ashok Singh and District Fisheries Officer Ramakant Pandey.
