North Korea has shocked the world by executing 30 officials. The North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, ordered their execution last month. They were hanged for failing to handle severe flooding.
Reports confirm that officials were held responsible for the damage caused by recent floods and landslides. The disaster resulted in over 1,000 deaths, the destruction of more than 4,000 homes, and displaced over 15,000 people. Kim Jong Un blamed the officials for the country’s suffering and decided to impose the death penalty.

Additionally, Kim Jong Un has suspended Kang Bong-hun, Secretary of the Chagang Province Provincial Party Committee, due to the flood’s aftermath. This harsh punishment highlights the extreme measures taken by the North Korean regime.
